The Cubs have now fallen 7 and a half back in the NL Central and even further in the wildcard. The Ricketts family spent over 1 billion to acquire this mess and now appear content to just watch it burn. I mean, what is the fucking deal? If you get to spend twice as much as most other teams how hard is it to operate a fucking baseball team? Ahhh, 20 million on Halladay... 20 million on Cliff Lee... 7 million on Granderson... Those three moves (which were all possible in November) and the Cubs win the NL Central easily and somebody has to deal with Lee and Halladay come playoffs time. Keep in mind the payroll this year is 142.7 million so even with those signings you still have 100 million to fill in the rest of the roster. Ownership needs to decide what they want and go get it. Jim Hendry should not manage a McDonald's let alone the third or fourth most valuable baseball franchise in the world. Take a look at him, you see it too??? A little Michael Moore in him? Little more weight and some glasses? Go sign Milton Bradley and Jason Marquis you worthless piece of shit!
